Short-Term Facility Staffing in Naples, Florida

This page is for administrators, directors of nursing and managers at assisted living, memory care and skilled nursing facilities who need short-term professional coverage. A sick call, a leave of absence, a surge in admissions or a gap while hiring can leave a unit short in ways that matter to residents.

RMD Home Care Services is a Florida nurse registry that refers independent professionals. They are not RMD employees. A referral does not replace your facility's applicable credentialing, orientation, supervision and regulatory obligations. Tell us what coverage is needed so we can discuss qualifications and availability rather than assume a shift can be filled.

Who we can discuss referrals for

Roles depend on what your facility needs and what professionals are available. Conversations commonly involve RNs and LPNs where a nursing license is required, certified nursing assistants and home health aides for resident care, and companions or activity support in settings where that is appropriate. Tell us the credential your policies and licensing rules require, not just a job title.

Settings

  • Assisted living communities, where residents need help with daily activities but live in apartment-style settings
  • Memory care units, where experience with dementia, patience and consistency are priorities
  • Skilled nursing facilities, where licensure, charting and supervision requirements are more demanding

What helps us make a match

A clear request saves time for everyone. When you call or write, include the role and credential needed, the number of professionals, start date and expected duration, shift lengths and times, the unit or census, any required training or immunization documentation, and the person to whom the professional reports on arrival. Mention parking, badge or sign-in procedures, and electronic charting systems if relevant.

Short-term, not open-ended

Requests may involve individual shifts, temporary leave coverage, changes in resident needs or support while a facility recruits. RMD can discuss these short-term needs and professional availability. Ask about rates, assignment terms, documentation and invoicing before confirming coverage. Your facility should review contractual and classification questions with its qualified advisers rather than assume every staffing arrangement works the same way.

Onboarding expectations

  • Provide a brief facility orientation: emergency procedures, resident rights, infection control and reporting lines
  • Assign a charge nurse or supervisor who confirms the first-day assignment
  • Share care plans and resident-specific instructions through your normal channels
  • Clarify scope: which tasks the professional may perform and where your policies are narrower than their license
  • Agree on how concerns and incident reports will be handled
  • Debrief after the first shift so adjustments are quick

Questions administrators ask first

Facility managers usually want to know how we vet, how fast we can respond, and who is accountable on the floor. Our answer is straightforward: professionals referred through the registry are independent, and we discuss credentials, screening and experience with you so that you can make your own judgment against your policies. We cannot promise a response time, and we do not take over your supervision duties. What we can do is act as a single point of contact for your request, ask clarifying questions about the role and shift, and introduce candidates who appear to fit. Keep your own verification steps, such as license checks and reference calls, as part of your process.

Questions families ask

Are the professionals RMD employees?
No. They are independent professionals referred through our nurse registry, and your facility remains responsible for its own supervision and compliance.
Can you promise a nurse for tomorrow?
We cannot promise availability. Early notice improves the chance of a good match.
Do you serve private-home clients too?
Yes, most of our work is with families at home. See the services overview.
